Interview with Marc T. – Producer, cultural listener, quiet innovator

Who are you and what shaped you into the person you are today?

I’m Marc T. I work behind the scenes, producing for DJs, composing soundscapes, shaping moods. What formed me most was learning to listen. To a room, to silence, to shifts in energy. Culture isn’t just what’s loud, often, it’s what’s barely heard.

What experiences personal or professional have marked you in a way you would not want to miss?

Living between cities. That constant cultural tension, London, Berlin, Seoul, made me tune in. The best inspiration came in motion, from places that felt off-grid. Collaborating with artists who value intuition over perfection. Those moments taught me that what’s unfinished often feels most human.

How do you decide where to invest your energy?

I trust frequenciesNot everything that’s hyped resonates. I choose the projects that move something inside me. Energy is sacred. I don’t spread it wide – I go deep.

What does real presence mean to you?

Presence is when someone doesn’t need to prove anything. It’s not about volume, it’s about gravity. Some people bring weight just by standing still. You feel when someone’s aligned with their inner rhythm.

When do you feel most in tune with yourself?

When I’m in the studio at night, headphones on, nobody watching. Or when I’m crate-digging alone in Tokyo or Lisbon. Those solitary rituals reconnect me. That’s when I remember why I started.

How would you describe your style beyond trends?

Minimal, imperfect, consistent. A few favorite shirts, worn-in jeans, a black beanie, that’s me. I’m not trying to impress, I’m trying to express a rhythm. I think clothes should breathe the same way music does.

What does less but better mean to you?
Editing. Knowing when to stop. Giving space. Whether it’s in a mix or in life, the gaps speak loudest. I believe in quality that whispers but sticks.

What do you wish you saw more of in the world around you?

More cultural patience. More people who wait before reacting. More sounds that evolve instead of explode. Less aesthetic noise, more substance. Less self-branding, more self-awareness.

If everything had to fit in one sentence, what would yours be?
Make it real, keep it quiet, let it echo.
